Alternative Energy News - October 11, 2006

- Wisconsin Public Power Inc., an energy company that supplies power to 44 municipalities, has agreed to buy 50 megawatts of power from a 7,000 acre wind farm being developed in Iowa.
- The switch-over to new ultra-clean diesel fuel is going smoothly and supplies should be readily available at retail pumps when the rules take effect on Sunday, U.S. officials said on Tuesday.
- Riverwalk Properties, LLC has chosen to install one of the largest solar electric power systems in New England in Lawrence, MA with a grant from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.
